It isn't as if your cat was going to spend 7 hours in a cage at the vet's whether you were there waiting or not, and since you weren't they charged you. It didn't take 7 hours to give your cat shots. If you'd stayed and waited for them to be done, you'd have been out of there way sooner. Never mind that you have to go to work. That's not their problem. The other 6.5 hours of the day they had to keep it for you because you couldn't stay. I agree that for them to charge a "boarding fee" for one day is stupid since you were a client and they probably didn't even feed the cat while it was there, but apparently you signed off on it. It's too often that corporations roll over people with shady charges knowing that most are going to end up bitching and moaning about it later but won't put up more than a cursory objection.
